Dear Peter,

Hope this finds you in good health and cheers.

You may be aware that the 19th International GM tournament is to organised by Alekhine Chess Club, Kolkata from 18th to 27th March 2014.

Total prize money for the event is 1400,000 Indian rupees, which is approximately 22000 USD.

I request you to contact your Malaysian IMs and friends from other nearby nations like Singapore, Vietnam etc for their participation in the tournament.

For IMs, free boarding and lodging will be provided, in addition to 200 USD

Expecting your favourable reply,

Thanks and regards,

R. Anantharam

(I got the above email from the All India Chess Federation and promised to talk to the players and federations in the region - I however doubt that any Malaysians will want to take this up but it is not expensive as we do have a budget flight to Calcutta (Kolkata) and I could also try and help to get free or subsidised accommodation from the organisers.)
